Fil-Am skater Peter Groseclose qualifies to 2024 Winter Youth Olympics

Fil-American Peter Groseclose has earned a berth to the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics Games in Gangwon, South Korea, the Philippine Skating Union (PHSU) announced Thursday, Feb. 9.

The 15-year-old Groseclose reportedly made the cut after his strong showing in the Junior World Short Track Speed Skating in Dresden, Germany recently.

“This would be a momentous event for the Philippines!” PHSU posted on social media.

Groseclose would be the third Filipino ice skater to compete in the prestigious junior meet following short track speed skater Julian Macaraeg in the 2020 edition in Lausanne, Switzerland and figure skater Michael Martinez in the 2012 edition in Innsbruck, Austria.
