DPWH: Newly-built road project in Nueva Ecija boosts local economy

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Thursday, Feb. 9, that the newly completed P21.94 million improvement works in various sections at the Tablang-Gabaldon Road Junction in Laur, Nueva Ecija has increased the economic activity in the area.
In a report to DPWH Undersecretary Robert Bernardo, DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino noted that the road improvement project involves the construction of concrete road shoulders with thickness of 230 millimeters along the intermittent sections of Tablang-Gabaldon Road Junction.
He stressed that upgrading the road condition on the secondary carriageway is a welcome development since it provides the link from from the capital city of Palayan to the the towns of Laur and Gabaldon.
Tolentino cited the DPWH Nueva Ecija District Engineering Office (DEO) under District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad for the excellent work on the project.
With the widened sections, Tolentino stated that the condition and carrying capacity of the said road will also provide more convenient travel to the public and efficient transportation of goods and services to the intended destinations.
