Three wanted persons were arrested in separate operations conducted by members of the Las Piñas and Pasay City police on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
In Las Piñas, two wanted persons identified as Edward Fernandez,39, and Marvin Irinco,28, were arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Intelligence Section (IS).
Fernandez, who was listed as Top 7 wanted person for the month of February, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. along Aratelis St., Barangay CAA BF International, Las Piñas City.
Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, said Fernandez was arrested after a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Josefina Eco Siscar, of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 201 was served to the suspect.
Santos said Siscar issued a warrant of arrest in December last year against Fernandez who is facing illegal possession of firearms charges with bail recommended at P120,000.
The city police chief said Irinco was arrested around 9:45 a.m. along Jasmin St., TS Cruz Subdivision, Almanza 2, Las Piñas City.
Santos said Irinco was charged for illegal possession of drugs and was placed by the police as Top 9 wanted person after Judge Phoeve C Meer of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court(RTC) Branch 275, issued a warrant of arrest against him on Jan. 9.
In Pasay City, a female senior citizen was arrested for illegal possession of drugs.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect, identified as Luzviminda Santos, 66, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. along San Juan St., Barangay 44, Pasay City.
Uy said a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edilwasif Baddiri, of Pasay City RTC Branch 115 was served to the suspect by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS).
He said the suspect was detained at the police custodial facility.
