Bulacan police officers arrested a man in possession of a gun who was challenging residents and passersby to a fight in a neighborhood in the town of Hagonoy in the province of Bulacan on Wednesday, Feb.8.
In report to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the arrested man was identified as Emmanuel Pagarigan, 31.
Investigation showed that the Hagonoy police station received a phone call from a concerned citizen informing them that a man armed with a gun was making trouble by challenging persons he met in the area. The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m.
Responding operatives from the Hagonoy police immediately went to the area and saw Pagarigan carrying a revolver gun.
The cops arrested Pagarigan and confiscated around 0.5 grams of alleged shabu with a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P3,400 from the suspect.
A total of P181,288 worth of suspected shabu was seized by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives of City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) Angat, Balagtas, Norzagaray, and Meycauayan City from 17 arrested drug peddlers.
Manhunt operations by tracker teams from the CSJDM, San Miguel, Balagtas, Marilao, Guiguinto, and Malolos City police led to the arrest of 10 wanted felons for various violations of the law.
Col. Arnedo said the Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to pursue its enhanced campaign against illegal substances and apprehend felons wanted by the law and bring them to justice.
