10 members of farm group withdraw support to rebel movement in Central Luzon


CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Ten members of a group affiliated with the Communists Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army and a Communist Terrorist Group member voluntarily withdrew their support to the rebel movement on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Police Regional Office Reg. 3 reported on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The members belonging to Pambansang Katipunang Magbubukid (PKM), an underground mass organization of Alyansang Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon-Nueva Ecija (AMGL-NE) made their formal withdrawal from CPP/NPA before the First Provincial Mobile Force Company.

The Philippine Army and Philippine National Police also processed the documentation of the voluntary surrender of ‘Ka Jack,’ a former CTG member of Kilusang Larangan Guerilla West Zambales.

The rebels also turned over a caliber .38 revolver, four ammunition of caliber .38 and a hand grenade.

The Central Luzon cops together with the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines are encouraging the remaining supporters of CTGs to return to the government’s side, urging them to contribute in securing and ensuring lasting peace and order for every Filipino.
