CEBU CITY – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a 25-year-old woman for selling nude photos of herself and her siblings online.
The woman was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the Mandaue City Office of the NBI-Central Visayas in Barangay Tisa here.
“This operation was challenging. It took a lot of patience because it involved a series of text messages, a series of transactions,” said Arnel Pura, officer-in-charge of NBI-Mandaue.
The woman admitted engaging in a “cam show” or the act of posing nude online through the messenger of a social media platform. The fee would range from P300 to P1,500.
Pura said an undercover agent transacted with the woman where reports that she was into online sex exploitation was confirmed. Most of her patrons were foreigners.
Pura said that based on the information provided by the United States government, the woman also offered her siblings to her clients. The woman would usually send nude photos of her siblings to entice customers.
When asked by reporters, the woman said she would send nude photos or do cam shows depending on what her clients demand. The woman’s siblings are already under the care of social workers, Pura said.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 11862 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022 will be filed against the woman.
