Man yields loose guns in Nueva Ecija

Police raided the house of a 47-year-old man and arrested him after he yielded undocumented firearms and explosives in Barangay Rizal, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on Tuesday, Feb 7.

A report to Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the suspect had two hand grenades, a caliber .45 Series 80 Colt MK IV, four caliber .45 magazines, caliber .22 revolver, air gun, airsoft M16 replica, 22 caliber .22 bullets, 23 caliber .45 ammunition, three caliber 9mm bullets, eight empty shells for caliber 9mm, and two empty caliber .45 shells.

Suspect faces charges for violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act of 2013 and RA 9516 (illegal possession of explosives).
