494 law violators nabbed, P2.3 M worth of illegal drugs seized in weeklong police operation in CL


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – A total of 494 individuals were apprehended and over P2.3 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a weeklong anti-criminality campaign in Central Luzon.

Central Luzon police made 494 arrests, including 124 for illegal gambling, 171 for illegal drugs, 16 for illegal possession of firearms and 14 for special laws.

Of the 494 arrested from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, 169 of them have standing warrants of arrest with cases ranging from frustrated homicide to murder and rape.

During the same period, police confiscated 556 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 340.064 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P2,312,435.20.

Also seized during the weeklong operation were 20 sachets of marijuana weighing approximately 43.50 grams with a street value of P5,220, two vacuum-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected high-grade Marijuana (KUSH) weighing 67.40 grams with an estimated value of P101,100.

Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen said the police will continue to wage a war against any form of lawlessness in the region.
