Massive battle, ultimate sacrifice mark 'Darna's' super finale

A crushed yet courageous Darna (Jane De Leon) faces the war-stricken Nueva Esperanza to defeat Heneral Borgo (Richard Quan), who is dead set on killing her at all cost, and Valentina (Janella Salvador), who made a venomous comeback and killed Brian Robles (Joshua Garcia), in the super finale of ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series “Mars Ravelo’s Darna.”

After its successful six-month run that began last August, the modern-day adaptation of the Mars Ravelo classic will have its explosive finale on Friday (Feb. 10). Will viewers see this generation’s Darna winning against evil? Or will she have to make the ultimate sacrifice to help save the people, living up to her mantra, "ang pinakamalaking kasalanan ay kapag may kakayahan kang tumulong pero wala ka namang ginawa.”

“Marami kayong aabangan, mga Kapamilya. Maraming pasabog! Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa kayo o malulungkot kayo. Basta abangan nyo ‘yan,” teased Jane.

Meanwhile, thousands of fans of the series once again made their way to meet the cast in the final leg of the #DarnaCaravan held at KCC Mall Gensan in General Santos City last Friday (Feb. 3) and the Ayala Malls Trinoma last Sunday (Feb. 5).

The “Darna” cast led by Jane thanked their fans for their overwhelming support to the show that has turned into a phenomenon on TikTok by spawning various Darna-related content with the #Darna now with 2.4 billion combined views.

“Darna” videos also earned almost 400 combined million views on YouTube as of Jan. 20. The series has consistently remained as one of the top-rating series on TV, among the Top 10 shows on iWantTFC, and the most searched primetime Philippine TV show on Google.

Don’t miss the super finale of “Darna,” available on weeknights at 8 pm on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, CineMo, A2Z, and TV5. The ABS-CBN series produced by JRB Creative Production is also on iWantTFC and TFC.
