Chevron Philippines Inc., which carries the Caltex brand of fuel products, has beefed up its retail network with additional 28 gasoline stations that it brought to commercial operations last year.

The company announced that it opened new stations in Metro Manila, Isabela, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, and Palawan in Luzon; then Bohol in the Visayas; and Cagayan de Oro, Davao as well as Zamboanga in Mindanao.

Chevron indicated that its additional stations had been sited in high traffic areas as well as strategic locations that could help entice motorists to patronize these facilities with ease.

For the Metro Manila stations, in particular, one facility was located proximate to the Landers Superstore in Fairview, Quezon City; and in the oil firm’s view, that would “readily help shoppers fuel up for the ride.”

Among the company’s new stations are also those catering to motorists who would have their daily or frequent travels to and from Metro Manila -- primarily in neighboring provinces like Cavite, Laguna and Batangas in southern Luzon; as well as Bulacan in the north.

As noted by Chevron Philippines Country Chairman Billy Liu, “each new Caltex station is a feat for us,” with him specifying that “every year, we aim to make our products and services more accessible to our customers to make sure their journeys remain seamless and worry-free.”

Given the deregulated state of the oil industry in the Philippines, consumers can freely exercise their power of choice when it comes to the oil companies that they will patronize – and the major factors they have been looking for are price as well as the quality of products.
