Mayor in Quezon bares special treat for loveless workers on Feb. 14

GENERAL LUNA, Quezon – Mayor Matt Erwin Florido announced on Monday, Feb. 6, a special treat for loveless local government employees.

Florido said municipal government workers who are still single since birth and have no boy or girlfriends for five years are entitled to triple pay on Valentine’s Day.

He said that single employees can avail of double pay when they work on Feb. 14 or a leave with pay on Monday, Feb. 13, to enable them to enjoy a long weekend.

Florido said qualified employees can submit their application to the Office of the Mayor or to the Municipal Human Resource Management Office for validation. He reminded those applying to observe honesty in their request.

The LGU will not spend a single centavo as payment will come from Florido's personal fund.

Florido has been giving special treats for municipal workers on Valentine’s Day since becoming mayor in 2019.
