Carla Abellana opens up on Tom Rodriguez

Carla Abellana was asked about Tom Rodriguez and their failed marriage in Bea Alonzo's "Lie Detector Test" vlog.

Among questions asked: Did she ever wish her breakup with Tom Rodriguez wasn't as public?

Carla gave an affirmative response, relating: "I mean, sino naman ang may gusto na maging public ang isang mahirap at sensitive na private matter, di ba?"

Does she regret getting married?

Carla answered "yes," but the polygraph test machine detected it as a "lie."

The Kapuso star explained, "S'yempre gusto kong sabihin, 'No,' kasi kahit papano from 'yung bang pa'no tayo pinalaki sa kultura natin, dahil Catholic din ako, na parang no regrets dapat kasi part 'yan ng plan ni God, mga ganun, ganun. But then, honestly, kung si Carla, tanggalin mo lahat 'yun, yes! Talagang nagsisi ako."

"The rational self will justify. That's why 'yes' yung truth," she added.

Meanwhile, Carla gave a "no" answer when asked if she could imagine herself getting married anew in the future.

She answered the same when asked if she will ever get back together with Tom again.

She revealed that after all that happened, she has not seen Tom in person.

"We never spoke. Plus, not long after din kasi umalis siya. He's actually currently in the US. Since then, yun na yung last naming nagkita," she told Bea.

Will she ever talk to him again?

"Ever? Oo naman. But anytime soon, no. I wouldn't say naman never. Plus, we're in the same industry."

In terms of sharing the screen with Tom again, Carla reiterated, "Ayoko sana but then, honestly, paano kung biglang sinabi ng GMA?... Really, I don't want to work (with him)."

In the latter part, Bea asked Carla if will she ever fall in love with someone the same way she did with Tom.

The 36-year-old admitted it's a "hard question."

"I'm hoping that I will fall in love again but di ko na alam - di naman siguro impossible. But hopefully, yes."

She maintained that right now she's not even thinking about it.
