Layout artist yields P408,000 worth of shabu in Tuguegarao City buy-bust

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan -- A 27-year old lay-out artist was arrested during a buy-bust operation along National Highway, Carig Norte on Saturday evening, Feb 4.

The suspect was identified as Leslie Areola, a resident of Carig Norte, Tuguegarao City.

Joint personnel of Tuguegarao Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region ll arrested the suspect after one of their agents who posed as buyer was able to buy shabu.

The raiders were able to seize from the suspect one knot-tied transparent ice-bag containing about 40 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P272,000.

The authorities also found six more heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 20 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P136,000, the buy-bust money and a cellular phone.
