Western Visayas' most wanted arrested in Laguna

ILOILO CITY – Police arrested Western Visayas’ most wanted person in Cabuyao town, Laguna province on Thursday, Feb. 2.

The suspect, whose name was withheld by Police Regional Office (PRO-6), is a 62-year old resident of Pototan town, Iloilo province and former member of the Philippine Marine Corps who was dishonorably discharged from service.

The suspect was caught in an operation conducted by different police units from Iloilo and Laguna.

Colonel Noel Aliño, director of Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), was present as the police served the warrant of arrest to the suspect who is facing four counts of rape of a minor.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Vicente Villa Go of the Regional Trial Court (RTC-Branch 68) of Dumangas town, Iloilo province last July 2022.

A 16-year-old victim complained to authorities in May 2020 that the suspect started sexually abusing her from September 2019 and until May 2020.

The suspect is now in Iloilo to face trial.
