Teejay Marquez shoots comeback TV/movie projects in Indonesia

Teejay Marquez is back in Indonesia, a special place he could very well call his second home.
Keen showbiz watchers will probably remember how he became a big success in Jakarta in 2015, thanks to his Dubsmash videos which went viral and instantly earned him throngs of diehard fans.
Despite getting his big breaks in the major local networks as a "tween star," Teejay's popularity soared to even greater heights when he flew to Indonesia to make the rounds of TV shows and play pivotal roles in such movies as 'Dubsmash' and the Indonesian TV adaptation of the popular Taiwanese drama, 'Meteor Garden,' which ran for eight months until October 2018.
While there, he even launched his own eponymous mobile phone app.
Fast forward to the present: The boyishly handsome actor flew back to Indonesia mid-January to shoot his comeback movie and TV series, details of which he promises to share soon through his social media accounts.
He discloses, "One of my comeback projects will have a normal cinema run, while the other one will be launched through a streaming site, so I think everyone can watch, not just Indonesian or Filipino fans, but from all over the world."

The cameras start grinding as soon as he completes his refresher course in Bahasa.
"It's heartwarming to know that the fans still recognize me," he exclaims. After all, Teejay makes it a point to fly back to the progressive Southeast Asian capital every now and then--the most recent being November 2022, when he spent Halloween in Bali.
Beyond the trappings of fame and fortune that he's enjoyed in Indonesia, Teejay acknowledges that he has so much more to offer his fans. Such wisdom and maturity can probably be attributed to the resilience he gained through the long-drawn pandemic years.
He says, "I think what I want to impart to my followers is how to be strong despite of all the challenges that we may face in life. Loving yourself by taking care of your being and always stay positive no matter what. Also, that they should never give up of their dreams because dreams do really come true."
Now also a full-fledged entrepreneur, Teejay is open to the prospect of bringing his Good Skin skincare brand not just to Jakarta, but also to the thriving markets of nearby Asian cities as well.
