Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the local government launched the Veterinary Office IT Management System to computerize the registration of pets on Friday, Feb.3.
Aguilar said the veterinary office head, Dr. Michael Bangan, pioneered the first-ever LGU Veterinary Office IT Management System project in the country.
She said through this project, each pet will be issued a Pet ID and a certificate of registration which includes a QR code for easy identification and retrieval of data.
The mayor said residents who wish to have their pets registered must bring a valid government ID.
