Alex Eala has been making rounds on social media after her historic Grand Slam title at the US Open last Sunday, Sept. 11.

The recognition has not stopped since she headlined the prestigious major tournament both internationally, and more so at home.
Eala's first singles title came after dispatching Lucie Havlickova 6-2, 6-4.
The Filipina ace graced the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the largest tennis venue in the world with a seating capacity of 23,859, together with the Women’s Wheelchair Singles Champion Diede De Groot.
In front of the tennis-adoring fans, the 17-year-old junior champion was introduced and shown on the big screen.
Even her tennis club, the Rafael Nadal Academy, was in awe of the big celebrations in the country.
Back at home, Eala was lauded on social media by the President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., her uncle, Philippine Sports Commission chairman Noli Eala, and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
