DOH records 832 new Covid-19 cases during the past week


The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Feb. 27 a total of 832 new Covid-19 cases that were recorded during the past week.

In its weekly case bulletin, DOH said that the daily average cases are currently at 119 which is seven percent lower than the cases on Feb. 13 to Feb. 19.

DOH recorded did not record any severe and critical cases. Currently, there are 370 severe and critical admissions which are 9.1 percent of total Covid-19 admissions.

On the other hand, 291 out of 2,163 or 13.5 percent of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are being used, while 3,191 out of 17,830 or 17.9 percent of non-ICU beds are being utilized.

Meanwhile, DOH also verified 78 more deaths due to Covid-19 during the past week. It mentioned that two deaths occurred from Feb. 13 to Feb. 26.

Of the 78 deaths, two occurred in February 2023, three in March 2022, one in February 2022, 12 in January 2022, three in December 2021, four in November 2021, four in October 2021, 19 in September 2021, 8 in August 2021, five in July 2021, two in June 2021, three in May 2021, three in April 2021, two in March 2021, two in February 2021, one in October 2020, three in September 2020, and one in August 2020.

In terms of Covid-19 vaccination, a total of 73,885,830 individuals have been fully vaccinated while 21,537,490 have received boosters or additional doses.
