Liza Soberano embarks on new chapter, opens up about taking control of her life

Actress Liza Soberano shared an update on the development of her career abroad as she opened up about taking control of herself for first time.

Appearing on her YouTube Channel on Sunday, Feb. 26, Liza said: "I'm finally taking control of my life pursuing dreams that I've always had to hold off on."

Liza, 25, said that "it's exciting, terrifying, it's anxiety filled and confusing."

"But what I know for sure is that for the first time, I'm finally living my life for me.

"I hope you understand that by doing so, by giving in to pressure of doing what everybody else wants for me, I am being unfair to myself.

"I've sacrificed my childhood, I've sacrificed my freedom, I've sacrificed my happiness to present Liza Soberano to the world and I think I've earned the right to finally be me, to finally be able to do things for me as Hope Soberano," she also said. Liza's actual name is Hope Elizabeth Soberano.

Liza also said that she's grateful for showbiz although it was a career she had no say. "A career in many ways wasn't mine."

"I didn't even choose the name Liza. It was chosen for me," she revealed.

Liza also announced that she's into writing and producing these days.

She added that she cut down on her endorsements. But she announced she's working on a new brand which she will reveal on Monday, Feb. 27.

"It's my first jab at directing," said Liza, adding that her fans will surely be shocked and surprised with it.
