Ben Phillips is returning to the court with the De La Salle Green Spikers, just a few months after playing two seasons in one busy calendar year with the Green Archers.

After three years of inactivity from the tournament, the UAAP men’s volleyball returned in a shared schedule with the women’s division in Season 85.

The 6-foot-8 center, who was part of the La Salle crew that finished fifth in the eliminations of the men’s basketball tournament last December, will be taking on the role of the team’s middle blocker as the Green Spikers face the University of Santo Tomas Tigers on Sunday, Feb. 26 to open its campaign.

Phillips is looking to steer the Green Spikers to their first title in 20 years, with the National University Bulldogs standing in their way for their own three-peat championship bid.

The 23-year-old transferred to La Salle in 2019 followed by his younger brother and fellow Green Archer Mike Phillips shortly after.
