Korean actor Yoo Ah-in, known for the film “Seoul Vibe” and "#Alive," and the dramas “Hellbound” and “Chicago Typewriter,” is facing more problems due to alleged use of drugs.
The 36-year-old actor has tested positive for three drugs: propofol, marijuana and a third substance that has yet to be revealed by the police, according to a report by Korean media outlet MBC News.

"Recently, it was confirmed that the National Forensic Service reported to the police the results of analysis that all three types of drug substances were detected in Mr. Yoo's hair," the report stated.
Yoo Ah-in has been investigated by the police since the first week of February after he was suspected of abusing propofol, which “is used to help you relax or sleep before and during surgery or other medical procedures,” according to the Mayo Clinic website.
It is highly regulated in South Korea and classified as a psychotropic drug, defined under the country’s Narcotics Control Act as “a drug that may affect the human central nervous system, thus deemed, if misused or abused, to cause serious harm and danger to human body.” Propofol was linked to the death of pop star Michael Jackson.
Yoo Ah-in immediately returned to South Korea from the US on Feb. 5. At Incheon International Airport, Yoo Ah-in underwent a urine test and hair collection. He was summoned by the police on Feb. 6 for alleged violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
The Seoul police requested the National Forensic Service to conduct a detailed drug evaluation on the actor. Korean media reported that he tested positive for cannabis in a urine test. He later tested positive for propofol.
According to the MBC News report, the police will investigate Yoo Ah-in as a suspect by securing his cell phone and conducting digital analysis.
After the report came out, the actor’s agency, UAA, said, "We inquired with the police several times, but until this morning, we only heard back that they could not inform us."
Companies that have used Yoo Ah-in as an endorser to promote their products have started removing his photos.
Fans have criticized Yoo Ah-in for staying silent on the drug use issue.
