DOH confirms 2,097 more cases of Covid-19

The Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 2,097 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Sunday’s number of cases was slightly lower than the 2,197 cases recorded on Saturday, Oct. 8.

A total of 26,357 patients across the country are still recuperating from the viral disease.

Metro Manila still posted the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks with 12,159.

Calabarzon followed with 5,359 cases, Central Luzon with 2,709, Davao region with 1,421, and Western Visayas with 869.

The country’s running tally of confirmed Covid-19 cases was at 3,967,861. Of the said figure, 3,878,240 were recoveries while 63,264 were deaths.
