Alyssa Valdez underwent a "procedure" recently in her attempt to "recover faster and come back stronger," Creamline shared on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Valdez, who injured her right knee during their battle for third against Chery Tiggo last December, is continuing to seek the best possible treatment and care for her injury.
She has been ruled out of the Cool Smashers’ roster indefinitely and has not seen action since the injury took place, as well as in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference.
Creamline, which is currently sharing a 3-1 record with Chery Tiggo and F2 Logistics, is awaiting Valdez’s return to the team for its title defense this conference.
Valdez, though, shared that her injury does not require surgery during the tournament’s press conference last Jan. 28, and is hoping she could suit up for the Philippines come the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia this May.
The Cool Smashers are playing against the Crossovers as of press time for the solo lead of the season-opening conference.
