2 cops wounded in Quezon drug bust

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Two policemen and a suspected drug pusher were wounded in a buy-bust operation on Friday night, Feb. 24, in Purok Little Baguio 1, Barangay Ibabang Dupay, this city. City police chief Lt. Col. Erickson Roranes said the suspect, Gerald Diadesma, fired at arresting police officers and hit Staff Sgt. Arnel Buemia and Staff Sgt. Donald Bulaklak of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Quezon Police Provincial Office (PDEU-QPPO). Buemia was wounded in the chest and Bulaklak in the knee. Lawmen returned fire and hit Diadesma who managed to flee but later cornered. The two policemen and the suspect were taken to a hospital.
