PH records 1,317 Covid-19 cases from May 23-29, per DOH

The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 1,317 new Covid-19 cases from May 23 to 29, having an average daily rate of 188 which is 8.8 percent higher compared to the recorded cases from May 16 to 22.

From May 16 to 22, the health department logged a total of 1,214 cases of Covid-19.

Of the 1,317 Covid-19 cases, 12 have been classified as severe and critical cases.

According to the DOH, nobody died due to Covid-19 in the past week.

As of May 29, the health department said 679 Covid-19 patients with severe and critical cases are admitted to hospitals.

Meanwhile, the DOH said the utilization rate of intensive care unit (ICU) beds for Covid-19 patients is at 16.8 percent (459 beds).

For non-Covid beds, at least 17.2 percent of them have been occupied.
