House resolves to convene with Senate ahead of Tuesday canvassing
The House of Representatives, on Monday, May 23, have resolved to convene with the Senate on May 24 to begin the canvassing of votes for the presidential and vice presidential candidates as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC).

Through the now-adopted House Concurrent Resolution No. 26, the 18th Congress of the Philippines will hold a joint session at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 to fulfill the duty of Congress to canvass votes and proclaim a president and vice president elect.
House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, Majority Leader Romualdez, and Minority Leader Joseph Paduano introduced the resolution.
Velasco and Senate President Vicente Sotto III will preside over the Congressional NBOC.
Meanwhile, the Senate similarly filed their version of the resolution on the same day in preparation for the canvassing of votes.
The Lower House also received about 150 Certificates of Canvass (COCs) and Election Returns from the Senate on May 23, ahead of the Tuesday joint session as the NBOC.
