DOH posts 2,489 more Covid-19 cases

The Philippines reported 2,489 new Covid-19 infections on Friday, Sept. 30.

The new cases brought the number of active cases across the country to 29,118, as shown in the latest data of the Department of Health (DOH).

The National Capital Region (NCR) reported the most number of infections in the recent two weeks with 13,991 cases.

Calabarzon then followed with 5,332 cases, Central Luzon with 2,830 infections, Davao Region with 1,306, and Western Visayas with 757.

The country’s recovery tally also climbed to 3,855,975, while the death toll was at 62,947.

The Philippines has already logged a total of 3,948,40 confirmed cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic started two years ago.
