Bongbong picks this ex-solon as his own 'Bong Go'

President-elect Bongbong Marcos will also have his very own "Bong Go", or Special Assistant to the President (SAP).

Former three-term Davao del Norte 2nd district Rep. Anton Lagdameo Jr. will take on this role, Marcos bared Thursday, May 26 during a Facebook live interview with handpicked news networks.

Lagdameo, 54, is a grandson of "banana king" Antonio Floirendo Sr., who was friends with Marcos's late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos.

The Tagum-born Lagdameo is married to actress Dawn Zulueta.

Lagdameo finished his Bachelor of Business Administration in the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1989. Wharton is an the Ivy League business school.

The position of SAP was made famous by Christopher "Bong" Go, incumbent President Duterte's lifelong friend turned Palace assistant. Go, now a senator, is known for always being at Duterte's side during the latter's official functions.
