There will be no work on Friday, Feb. 24, in all courts nationwide – from the Supreme Court (SC) to the lowest trial court.

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo said the cancellation of work is in line with Proclamation No. 167 which declared Feb. 24 as a special nonworking holiday in celebration of the EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary, which falls on a Saturday this year.
But Gesmundo said justices and judges may designate essential personnel who may be required to work on Friday.
The cancellation of work means that court hearings and other proceedings have to be re-scheduled.
