Samantha Bernardo now engaged to BF

Beauty queen Samantha Bernardo recently shared via social media photos of boyfriend Scott Moore proposing to her.

Her caption read: "my ride or die and forever valentine. we're officially engaged, i can't believe!"

In another post, the 30-year-old is seen flaunting a huge diamond ring.

"turn the page. start a new chapter," she wrote.

On TikTok, the Miss Grand International 2020 1st Runner-Up opened up some more about the milestone.

"Hindi ko rin ine-expect pero ayun, nangyari na. And I'm so happy for it," she told her fans.

"Sabi ko nga sa latest post ko 'turn the page, new chapter.' Ayan, so let's talk about it. So sa mga hindi nakakaalam I'm already 30 years old and I feel, like, di ba ang daming nangyari during pandemic. That's the time I represent Philippines. I also did 'Pinoy Big Brother' but more than that ang daming blessing na dumating sa akin."

She then recalled her humble beginnings.

"Ang daming beses kong natalo sa buhay. Ang daming beses ko na ring tinanong 'Ano ba Lord yung para sa akin? Ano ba talaga yung gustong gawin ko?,'" she said. "Maraming beses na rin akong nadapa. Marami na rin akong rejection pero all my life, yun lagi ang tinatanong ko: 'Ano nga ba yung para sa akin?'"

And she thinks almost everyone could relate to her, asking the same question.

But she assured her followers -- what's meant for you will always be yours.

"Yung hindi mo kailangang ipilit kasi kusang si Lord yung magbibigay ng way para ibigay yun sayo," was how she put it.

"...Yung tipong pagbali-baligtarin mo man ang mundo kayo pa rin talaga ang pinagtagpo at tinadhana. At ayun na nga mismo ang na feel ko kay Scott," she revealed.

"Yung sa lahat ng pagkakataon, sa lahat ng oras, yung pipiliin ikaw. Kasi ikaw yung karapat dapat piliin. Hindi mo kailangan maging second option," she noted.

So she has this reminder for those aspiring to have the same path as hers.

"Kaya sa lahat ng mga nagsasabing sana all dyan. Ako naman ang magasasabi ng sana all. Sana all piliiin niyo ang sarili niyo bago ang ibang tao. Sana all punuan niyo muna ang sarili niyo bago kayo magbigay ng pagmamahal sa ibang tao. Sana all masaya munang mag-isa bago makahanap ng kapares. Kasi yun talaga yung the best na sana all," she explained.

"Don't get me wrong. No one is perfect. Wala ring relationship na perfect pero yung relationship mo sa sarili mo, yun, pwede yung maging perfect para sayo. Kaya naman sa mga taong may pinagdadaanan dyan, nagmamahal and constantly, slowly fighting for own battles, kaya mo yan. I see you gurl, laban lang!"

"And lastly I'm here to remind you that you can always start a new chapter in your life, anywhere, anytime. Just like me."
