BACOLOD CITY -- A centenarian from E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental received another P100,000 cash incentive, this time from the Department of Social Welfare and Develoment (DSWD).
Herminigilda Barredo-Donasco, a widow and resident of Barangay Damgo, turned 100 years old on April 18, 2022.
Aside from the cash incentive, she also received a felicitation letter from President Marcos Jr. The letter was personally handed to her by the DSWD at her residence on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
In November last year, she received a P100,000 cash gift from the provincial government.
Donasco has five children who are all senior citizens, with ages ranging from 61 to 71.
Centenarians are entitled to cash gifts under Republic Act No. 10868, or the ‘Centenarians Act of 2016.’
