Olympian skateboarder Margielyn Didal gets engaged to longtime girlfriend

Olympic skateboarder Margielyn Didal has proposed to her longtime girlfriend Jozel Manzanares. 

The 23-year-old, who made a finals appearance in her 2020 Tokyo Games debut, is now engaged to her partner of eight years. 

The news came in Didal's recent Instagram post during the couple's anniversary which they celebrated at Soul Sierra in Cebu.  

“Yes or YES ?!! Happy 8th Anniversary mybytch and cheers to our new Begingneng,” the post read. 

Her post was met with congratulatory messages, one from fellow Olympian Hidilyn Diaz, and some others from international fans.

Didal has also begun her journey to the 2024 Paris Olympics after finishing 18th overall in the World Street Skateboard Championship in Rome, Italy.
