Operatives of the Bulacan police collared five illegal drug peddlers, a notorious criminal gang leader, and 12 felons wanted for various criminal offenses in the province on Tuesday, Feb.21.
In a report submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the arrested drug suspect was identified as Abelardo Batingan Alias "Abel," 56, who is tagged as the Top 10 in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) target list.
Arnedo said Batingan was arrested by operatives of the City of San Jose Del Monte Police Station in Barangay Graceville, CSJDM during a drug buy-bust operation.
Recovered from the suspect were seven sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P40,800 and marked money.
A series of buy-bust operations by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of Baliwag City, Calumpit, Norzagaray, and Marilao police resulted in the arrest of four drug dealers and the confiscation of nine sachets of suspected shabu, a sachet of suspected dried marijuana, and marked money.
Operatives of CSJDM police arrested Vincent Delos Santos, the identified leader of the criminal gang "COPLAN SPROAT," which is notorious for robberies and other illegal activities.
Delos Santos was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 78, CSJDM, Bulacan, for the crime of robbery.
A series of pursuit operations by tracker teams from Baliwag City, Norzagaray, Bulakan, Hagonoy, Pandi, Guiguinto, San Miguel, CSJDM, Pulilan, and Bocaue police resulted in the successful arrest of 12 felons wanted for various criminal offenses.
