Lacoste introduces its latest footwear design that merges fashion and sports
2023 marks the coming of the Sports Luxe trend. While you would think that it is just another version of the athleisure moment we’re living, well, it is not. Sports luxe is a mix of high-low aesthetics. Think of a bomber jacket paired with a column cocktail dress, a sports bra under a blazer, or designer sneakers styled with a good suit, it has the best of both fashion worlds. If you’re planning on incorporating this trend into your wardrobe, then we have the perfect kicks for you.

Earlier this month, Lacoste brought to the Philippines its latest footwear design that merges fashion and sports—the L003 Neo sneakers. The shoes pay homage to the works of the brand’s founder Rene Lacoste in blurring the lines between fashion and sports. Inspired by the tennis ball, the shoe features a neoprene and mesh upper, intricate lace fastening, and eye-catching perforations with the label’s iconic crocodile insignia present on the side of the heels. While is chunky silhouette plays with the Y2K style craze we are having right now. Think of it as a high fashion take on performance-wear.
This dynamic pair of lifestyle sneakers aims to support wearers, whether they are grinding in the gym or out walking in the streets. “This new sneaker and its design language express movement," says Catherine Spindler, deputy CEO of Lacoste, tells in a story by Forbes.”In the same way that a tennis ball rolls with no effort and bounces with energy from one place to another. The ease of movement was at the center of the creation of this silhouette."

The L003 Neo sneakers come in monochrome pink and turquoise for women and classic tones including all-black and timeless khaki for men. Its champion colorway, though, is the energetic neon yellow. The sneakers are available in Lacoste stores, online at lacoste.com.ph, and at Foot Locker.
