Parañaque City 1st District Representative Edwin Olivarez will launch the “Kumusta na ang Puso mo Parañaqueño” project on Thursday, Feb. 23.
Olivarez said the project will be held in coordination with the office of his brother, Mayor Eric Olivarez, and his son, Councilor Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez III at the Parañaque Sports Complex from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
He said the project will offer free heart checkup, electrocardiogram (ECG) test to check the heart’s rhythm, and electrical activity and blood pressure monitoring.
Olivarez called on the city's senior citizens and the beneficiaries of the assistance to individuals in crisis situation (AICS) to visit the Parañaque Sports Complex and avail of the free heart checkup.
Olivarez said the activity is also part of the celebration of “Heart’s” month.
He said his congressional office, located at the second floor of Parañaque City Hall, continues to give financial and medical assistance to city residents.
The congressman added that seven city residents admitted in three hospitals in Metro Manila -- Philippine Heart Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and the Lung Center of the Philippines -- were given guarantee letters under the program of the Department of Health (DOH)-Medical Assistance for Indigent Patients (MAIP) on Feb. 16.
