Nora Aunor: 'Namatay na ako'

It is no secret that Nora Aunor has been battling health-related problems in recent years.

Not many know, however, that she actually “died.”

The multi-awarded actress herself disclosed this in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” of late, maintaining, “Namatay na ako ng three minutes.”

She related, “Hindi ko alam kung puwede kong sabihin, kasi, namatay na ako ng three minutes. Itong mga nakaraan lang.”

Nora went on to share how it happened last year in an undisclosed hospital.

“Ang nangayri noon, di ba noong nagkakasakit ako, lalabas ako ng gabi (sa ospital), madaling araw dadalhin na naman ako (pabalik) sa ospital. So may insidente na sabi ko (sa kasama ko), ‘halika na, kasi bumababa na ang oxygen sa katawan’. So takbo na naman (kami) sa ospital. (Pagpunta namin) sa ospital, sabi ko, oxygen lang po ang kailangan ko. Ang nangyari, hindi ko alam, walang tumulong (sa akin). Hindi minadali na lagyan ako ng oxygen. Ang nangyari, humiga ako, pagkahiga ko (nawalan na ako ng malay). Pagkagising ko, nandoon na ako ng ICU.”

She learned of her supposed death from a hospital staff.

“Ang sabi nga sa akin, ang suwerte mo mahal ka ng Diyos. Sabi niya, kasi binalik ka uli. Siguro ang misyon mo, hindi pa tapos. Meron (ka) pang dapat na gawin sa mundo.”

The experience is not new for the Superstar.

She related in the same interview a near-death experience while working on “Himala” years back.

According to Nora, she, among others working in the film, thought she actually died following a car crash.

She said, “Nagdasal na sila kasi sabi nila, ‘yun nga, baka patay na ako.”

But they were all wrong.

May himala.

“Ang nangyari pala, ‘yung salamin sa harapan, natanggal ‘yon sa sasakyan, pero buo. Hindi nabasag. ‘Yung manibela naman imbes na tamaan ako sa dibdib, lumihis ‘yon sa akin. So wala talaga, wala akong naramdamang sakit. Ang naramdaman ko lang ‘yung nauntog ang ulo ko doon sa may bintana,” she added.
