BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested 23-year-old suspected drug pusher and seized 216 grams of shabu valued at P1,469,276 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Monday, Feb. 20.

Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon, San Carlos City police chief, said that the suspect, Mark John Quijano of Barangay 6, is a high-value individual due to the huge volume of suspected shabu recovered from him.
Mesahon said Quijano was placed under surveillance for two weeks after his name was mentioned by arrested drug suspects.
The San Carlos City police chief said that some shabu was hidden in a Chinese tea plastic bag and they have yet to determine the source of the contraband.
Mesahon said they are checking the background of the suspect to determine possible links with other drug personalities.
