Bulacan police officers nabbed 13 wanted persons and three illegal gamblers on Monday, Feb. 20.
Based on the report to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the Malolos City police arrested Luis Jericho Cruz, 18, who is wanted for rape in Brgy. Bulihan, Malolos, Bulacan on Monday.
Police served the warrant of arrest against the suspect issued by Judge Francisco Macapagal Beley of Regional Trial Court Branch 4, Malolos City, Bulacan, with a P200,000 bail recommended.
There are also 12 other wanted persons collared in different police operations conducted by the tracker teams of Malolos, Meycauayan, Pulilan, Calumpit, Bocaue, Angat, San Miguel, San Jose Del Monte, Sta. Maria, Bocaue, and Balagtas.
They were arrested for the crimes of serious physical injuries, qualified theft, slight physical injuries, rape, estafa, attempted homicide, malicious mischief, reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property, violence against women and children (RA 9262), and sexual assault.
Meanwhile, three illegal gamblers were also arrested in an anti-illegal gambling operations launched by the operatives of San Ildefonso and Hagonoy police on the same day.
The violators were caught in the act of conducting illegal bookies activities and the illegal card game “pares-pares."
Recovered were papelitos, ballpen, playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
The accused were placed under the custody of the arresting police units/stations.
Criminal charges have been filed against the suspects, police said.
