P227,000 shabu seized in Mountain Province

BONTOC, Mountain Province – Authorities arrested four drug personalities and seized suspected shabu valued at P227,000 in a search warrant operation in Sitio Matoytoyok, Barangay Bontoc Ili, here, on Sunday, Feb. 19.

Police identified the suspect as Gregorio Caramto Binmuyag, 53, a high-value target (HVT); Alexander Faclangen Pachong, 46; James Awing Bagni II, 34, and Mathew Khayad Sangway, 49, residents of this town.

Suspects yielded seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 15 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P102,000; suspected liquid shabu weighing more or less 12 milliliters with SDP of P125,256, and drug paraphernalia.

The search warrant was issued by Judge Marie Dao-as of the Municipal Trial Court here.

Marking and inventory of pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspects. This was witnessed by Barangay Captain Glenn Saavedra Sr. and Barangay Councilor Mila Fana-ang of Poblacion, Bontoc and media representatives.
