Two weather systems will continue to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over several parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday afternoon, Feb. 20.

The low pressure area (LPA), which was last located 230 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Aurora or 240 km east of Tuguegarao City, will still bring light to occasional intense rains and thunderstorms over Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.

Light to occasional heavy rains caused by the northeast monsoon or amihan may also continue in Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

PAGASA warned against possible flooding or landslides, particularly in areas that are highly vulnerable to these hazards.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the LPA and localized thunderstorms.

It also warned the public against possible flooding or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
