Welder dies in motorcycle crash in Quezon

TIAONG, Quezon – A 38-year-old welder died after his motorcycle collided with a tanker truck on the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Lagalag here on Wednesday night, Feb. 1.

Police identified the victim as Frederick Latayan, a resident of Barangay Bukal Norte in Candelaria town, this province.

Investigation said Latayan suddenly made a left turn and struck the oncoming truck driven by Ronel Lumbayan, 39, of Barangay Balubal, Talakag, Bukidnon.

Layatan sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Lumbayan is under the custody of the police.
