Las Piñas Vice Mayor Aguilar visits the wake of slain OFW Jullebee Ranara

Las Piñas Vice Mayor April Aguilar visited the wake of slain overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Jullebee Ranara and extended sympathy to her family on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Aguilar, on behalf of Mayor Imelda Aguilar, gave the family of Ranara financial assistance during her visit.

She also told the family that the mayor was also saddened upon learning that Ranara went to Kuwait to earn a living for her family and children but was killed by the 17-year-old son of her employer.

The vice-mayor said the family of the victim was also assured by the mayor that the city government will support them in their fight for justice for the killing of Ranara.

Aguilar also said the mayor also ordered the deployment of policemen at the wake of Ranara since her body was repatriated to the Philippines on Jan. 27.

According to reports, the burnt body of Ranara was found on the roadside in Kuwait.

The slain OFW, an avid Tiktok user, was still able to post her last video on Jan. 20 before she was reported missing and confirmed dead on Jan. 22.
