Kim Chiu grateful over Best Female TV Host win

 Kim Chiu couldn't be more grateful with PMPC recognizing her as Best Female TV Host at the recent Star Awards for TV.

Taking to social media, she wrote, "What a way to start the year! Thank you PMPC Star Awards for this recognition."

"From guest co-host to regular host, from face shield to no face shield. From bashing to brushing it off and using it as constructive criticism, I used those words not to put me down but used them as a weapon to do better in what I am doing," she added.

She went on to reveal how Johnny "Mr. M" Manahan pushed her to attend a series of workshops on voice modulation several years ago.

Kim admitted she didn't understand the reasoning behind it then.

It was only after that she learned how her speaking voice needs work.

"Nahilot naman ng konte," she quipped.

Turning serious, Kim related she never thought of doing hosting.

"From the bottom of my heart, I feel grateful to my ABS-CBN Family, Star Magic Family, and, of course, my SHOWTIME family. For not giving up on me and for all the trust na binibigay nila sa akin," she said.

"Every day is a learning experience, and every day is endless opportunities and chances. Thank you, fam."

Kim then proudly declared: "LEGIT HOST NA ako!!!!!!!"

PMPC's acknowledgment is memorable for Kim as it's her first hosting award.

"And I'm over the moon," she said.

"Lubos po akong nag papasalamat. Sa lahat ng nakikitawa sa jokes ko thank you po, sa mga di naman, ill do better and shmpre sa mga co-host ko SALAMAT sa laging pag alalay at pag gabay sa akin. Love you, fam!!! Salamat din po sa lahat ng nag mamahal at sumusuporta sa akin. Thank you sa lahat ng bumubuo ng PMPC Star Awards and SALAMAT ITS SHOWTIME FAM."
