ECHO, Blacklist rekindle M4 rivalry in opening day of MPL Philippines Season 11


Expect fireworks right on the opening day as a rematch between the two Grand Finals protagonists in the M4 World Championships are set to usher in the brand new season of the MPL Philippines on Feb. 17.

Looking to launch its title defense on a winning note and at the expense of the same team that dealt them a huge heartbreak in the worlds, Blacklist International takes on the M4 titlist ECHO in the opening day of the Season 11.

The marquee duel actually serves as the curtain-raiser to a much-anticipated opening week where the new-look Nexplay EVOS and TNC also locking horns in the opening day.

ECHO, after a match against the M3 World Champion, then tangles against M2 World Champion Bren Esports to begin the second day of the opening week with the former also looking to avenge its earlier loss against the latter during the semifinals of the Sibol qualifiers last January.

Onic Philippines then makes its debut against Omega before TNC battles Blacklist. RSG Slate Philippines, the defending champion in the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup, jumpstarts its bid for a return trip to that tournament against Onic Philippines before a thrilling match between Omega and Bren cap off the opening week of the season.

As usual, the regular season will run through eight weeks which will last until the second week of April. Same format as the recent season will be applied with the top 6 teams advancing to the playoffs and the bottom two squads getting eliminated.
