Drunk Cafgu member shot dead in Negros town

BACOLOD CITY – Policemen said they already have a person of interest who may be behind the killing of a member of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) who was shot dead during a fiesta celebration in Barangay Guinpanaan, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Feb. 19.

The victim was identified as Bon Cadigal, 42, of Barangay Quintin Remo.

Major Jovito Bose, Moises Padilla police chief, said that Cadigal was reportedly drunk, and was being playful while watching a certain game during the fiesta.

Bose said the suspect might have been irritated with the victim’s behavior that caused the incident.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound in the head. He was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
