BAGUIO CITY – Three drug pushers were arrested and caught with more than P180,000 worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Baguio City Police Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17.
The arrested were identified as Andrew Malamo Muros alias ‘Chadwick,’ 26, and a resident of Leonila Hill, Baguio City who is listed as a high value individual; John Michael Serrano Garcia, 34, of Asin Road, Baguio City and listed as street level individual, and Michael Bergania, 39, a native of Bulacan and living in Magsaysay Avenue, Baguio City.
Muros and Garcia were nabbed in a buy-bust operation around 9:00 p.m. on Feb. 16 in Purok 1, Lopez Jaena Alley, Aurora Hill, Baguio City.
Confiscated from them were pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 0.036 gram of shabu worth P244.88 and a separate one self-sealing plastic sachet containing 13.04 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P88,672.
The buy-bust operation was conducted in the presence of Prosecutor Bernard Allan V. Angeles and Barangay Captain Carlos Asiatico and other barangay officials of Lopez Jaena.
An undiscovered police agent acted as poseur-buyer of shabu for P3,500 from the suspect and immediately alerted the other police that the bust was over.
The suspect sensed other policemen were approaching and quickly ran to his rented apartment. The suspect resisted and the plastic sachets containing shabu with a total value of P89,080 were seized inside his house.
