PNP chief awards 7 Cordillera cops

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. awarded eight police officers for their accomplishments during a command visit to the headquarters of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera here on Thursday, Feb. 16.

The awardees were Capt. George Juliano and Corporal Jessie Boy Pasion of the Baguio City Police Office and Capt. Angeline Hombrebueno, Corporal Blanco Agagon Jr., Lt. Col. Dino Cogasi, Master Sgt. Lourdan Alindan, Major Peter Camsol, and Master Sgt. Sharon Binay-an of the Benguet Provincial Police Office.

Juliano and Pasion of the Baguio City Police Office were awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan (Medal of Merit) for the arrest of a person wanted for statutory rape in Tuba, Benguet.

Hombrebueno and Agagon also received the same award for the arrest of an individual wanted for rape in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya (PNP Relations Medal) was given to Cogasi and Alindan for the successful installation of five solar streetlights under “Project Pailaw 2022” in Mankayan, Benguet.

Camsol and Binay-an got the same medal for their active participation in the medical and dental mission and Kasimbayanan outreach program dubbed “Malasakit sa Kapwa” in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Azurin was assisted by PRO-Cordillera chief Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar and senior officers from the PNP national headquarters.

The PNP chief congratulated the awardees and encouraged other police officers to emulate them.
