A new-look Nexplay EVOS ushered in a fresh start in the MPL Philippines Season 11 with a rousing 2-0 victory over TNC Pro Team at the Shooting Gallery Studios on Friday, Feb. 17.

Parading an all-amateur five from Minana Esports, NXPE proved that it made the right move in pulling the trigger on the major revamp after dominating TNC in the two-game sweep.
NXPE went off to a hot start in the series opener, drawing the first blood in the series with Borris “BruskoDR” Parro making the plays for his team on the roaming Ruby pick which allowed his damage dealers in Dominic “DomengDR” Delmundo’s Karrie and Christian “GoyongDR” Martinez’s Kadita pick to quickly reach their power spikes.
DomengDR ran wild on his Karrie with a 5-2-1 KDA while GoyongDR added 4-1-5 line as NXPE pulled off a wire-to-wire 12-6 win in the first game.
Not even a platoon substitution from TNC could stop the NXPE from its rise as they completed a 33-17 domination in Game 2 to complete the sweep.
Unlike in the first game, however, the rout didn’t come without a scare with Robee “Ninjakilla” Pormicille putting on the pressure on NXPE’s lanes with his gold lane Zilong pick.
A separate team fight in the final minutes of the contest had NXPE winning as they managed to stop the split push attempt of Ninjakill while also taking down all the other TNC players to cap the steady showing with a wipeout.
DomengDr unloaded a 10-4-11 line on his Karrie while Brien “DoyetDr” Chumecera finished with a 7-2-17 line on jungle Fredrinn pick.
