The society scene will be much dimmer with the passing of Maurice Arcache on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023. He was 89. This was announced by his long-time partner, Alex Van Hagen. Arcache’s wake will be held this weekend at the Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati City.
Arcache was part of major social events and created his own signature style of society reportage. Through his society columns “Without Batting an Eyelash,” “My Lips are Sealed…Sometimes,” and his stint on television via the late-night show “Oh No! It’s Johnny” together with co-host and friend Johnny Litton, Arcache was known for his wit, fun personality, and humorous take on social etiquettes and the rich-and-famous personalities.
