Man arrested for illegal possession of firearm, drugs in Pasay City

A 25-year-old man was arrested by operatives of Pasay City Police Arnaiz Sub-Station for possession of a gun and illegal drugs on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Col. Forilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect identified as Jet Mark Velasco, alias Nonoy Negro, was arrested around 10:45 p.m. at the corner of Pasillo 3 and F. Victor St. in Barangay 61, Zone 8, Pasay City.

Uy said operatives of Arnaiz Police Sub-Station responded to the complaint of concerned citizens about a man with a gun roaming around the area.

During procedural search, the cops recovered from the suspect a .9mm pistol with five live ammunition, and seven plastic transparent sachets containing shabu worth P33,388.

The city police chief said the suspect was immediately arrested and brought to the police custodial facility.

Uy said the suspect was charged with illegal possession of firearms and prohibited drugs.
